Exeter, NH — EHL Player of the Year William Pray, has committed to Plymouth State University, for the fall of 2023.
The ’02 forward from Wheaton, Illinois had over 100 points in his two seasons with Seacoast and was the player to watch from the very beginning, of the EHL season and William had his choice of dozens of NCAA options. William finished the season with 31 goals and 41 assists in the 22/23, earning him the league MVP award, following his rookie campaign where he totaled nearly a point per game.
Pray had some thoughts on his excitement to move on to college hockey and his time at Seacoast:
“I am honored to announce that I will be continuing my athletic and academic career at Plymouth State University this coming Fall. I would like to thank my family and teammates that have always believed in me. I’d also like to thank the Spartans organization. I can’t imagine having the success that I have had without the endless support and great facilities in Exeter. Finally, I would like to thank Coach Brett Tryder who has constantly pushed me towards becoming not only a but a better hockey player but a better person overall.
“William is a unique talent, said Coach Tryder. He finished his first season as a top player in our league and picked up where he left off, this season. He is probably the most gifted hockey player that I have ever coached. He sees the game at an extremely high level and has an incredible sense of time and space. I am very happy to hear that he has chosen Plymouth State, which is always in the hunt for a national championship at the NCAA, level.”
