Exeter, NH — Carson James to join teammates at Salem State University, in the fall of 2023.
The ’02 hard-working forward from Falmouth, Maine finished his 22/23 campaign with 24 points in 46 games and added needed toughness to the Spartans.
” Carson is the type of player that could have played in any generation. He is an honest and hardworking player whose game will translate well to NCAA, hockey. He has value as a center or wing, and he can kill penalties and play on the power play. CJ was a crucial part of this team’s success and culture, and the hockey world could use more players, like him.” Carson’s style of play will suit him well and I have no doubt that Carson will be a very good player at the NCAA, level.
James spoke on his time with Seacoast, “I want to thank Coach Tryder, Coach Walker, and the entire Seacoast organization, for an awesome two seasons. Our whole team has grown and developed, helping us prepare for college hockey. I will miss going to The Rinks at Exeter every day, but I am excited to start my new chapter of my career with my teammates Carson Whitman and Chase Conlon, at Salem State.”
Tryder finished, “I am very excited about CJ’s commitment. He was always a great teammate and bought in to anything that was being taught. He is a tough kid, and he will be a great addition to the Salem State community.
