Exeter, NH — Seacoast Spartan and North Carolina native Nick Librizzi, has committed to The University of Southern Maine, for the fall of 2021.

The ’00 defenseman is in his second season with the Spartans EHL team and he is excited to be joining Coach Ed Harding and former teammates Nick Nault and Shea Flanagan next season.

“Nick has been a quite leader for our program. He is a great kid, a great student, and has represented our program with class. He is a very skilled defenseman and he will enjoy the  big ice sheet at USM, said Coach Tryder. Tryder continued, “Nick is a nice combination of grit and skill. I have no doubt that he will have a great career at Southern Maine..”

Librizzi reflected on his time playing junior hockey: “Coming to Seacoast and the EHL was the best choice for my development. Coach Tryder really helped me improve my overall game, and pushed me to new levels.  My time with the Spartans has helped me find, and commit to, a quality university to further my hockey career.  I am super excited to play under Coach Harding at Southern Maine. I’ve heard nothing but good things about Coach Harding and the program he has. I can’t wait to get started next season.
