Exeter, NH — Eddie Mulligan, high scoring defeseman, off to Plymouth State University, in the fall of 2023.
The ’02 defeseman from Lincoln Rhode Island led the Spartans defenseman in scoring with 30 points in 44 games with 13 goals and 17assists.
“This is another great NCAA placement for our program, said Coach Brett Tryder. Eddie is a big, highly skilled defenseman with a passion for the game. Eddie’s skill is only secondary to his ultra-competitive nature. He will be a great player for Plymouth State, and I believe that he will have a successful college career and will help Plymouth reach their goal of winning and NCAA championship. Mully had his choice of college programs and I believe that Plymouth is a great fir for him, athletically and culturally. I believe that he was the best defenseman in the EHL, this season, and I look forward to following his college career.”
Mulligan on his time at Seacoast:
“I came to Seacoast toward the end of the season. The team welcomed me right away and it felt as though I had been there the entire time. The team culture and chemistry were something that really stood out to me. I had a blast coming to the rink every day, competing and getting better with the boys. The entire organization and coaching staff truly care about the players and treats them as a priority. Coach Tryder did a great job helping me navigate the recruiting process and helping me choose the right school for me. I was fortunate to receive an offer from Plymouth State University and I am very excited to move on to college hockey and play for a program with a great hockey tradition. I can’t wait for the start of next season at Plymouth, and I would like to thank the Spartans organization for a great season. ”
